₹5,000 is released twice a year, on Raksha Bandhan and International Women's Day, straight to the beneficiary's Aadhaar-linked bank account via DBT. As of March 2026, 4 of the 10 installments have been paid.
Once a payment date passes, funds usually arrive within 48 hours. If it takes longer, check the NPCI Rejected List before assuming there's a bigger problem.
This is a simple age guide, not the official verifier. Enter your birth year for a general idea — always confirm on the official portal.
Tip: If your bank account is shared with a family member, consider opening a separate zero-balance single-holder account — it helps avoid payment failures later.
Registration still starts with a physical form — the portal is used afterward to confirm digitization, complete e-KYC, and track status.
No smartphone? Free offline help is available at Mo Seva Kendras, Common Service Centres, Anganwadi Centres, Block Development/ULB Offices, and periodic Subhadra Shibira camps in your Gram Panchayat.
| Status Shown | What It Means | What To Do |
|---|---|---|
| Application Submitted | With the Gram Panchayat for initial review | Wait about a week; no action needed |
| Under Verification | Being cross-checked at Block/District level | Wait up to 30 days, then recheck |
| Approved / Eligible | Confirmed on the beneficiary list | Keep your bank account active |
| NPCI Rejected | Bank account not properly linked to NPCI/Aadhaar | Visit your bank to fix Aadhaar seeding |
| Application Rejected | Found ineligible under an exclusion rule | File a grievance or visit the BDO to appeal |
| Payment Credited | Your ₹5,000 has been transferred | Check your passbook or bank SMS |
If your status hasn't moved for more than 15 days, call the helpline at 14678 with your reference number handy.
The portal keeps two separate lists — the Beneficiary List (approved & enrolled applications) and the Payment List (women who've actually received money for a given installment). Being on one doesn't automatically mean you're on the other.
Being on this list isn't a rejection of your application — it means you're approved, but the payment couldn't go through because your bank hasn't activated Aadhaar seeding for your account.
Still stuck after 15 days despite completing the bank process? Call 14678 with your reference number and bank confirmation ready.
Ten additional initiatives target different needs beyond the core cash benefit.
Bonus: the top 100 women per Gram Panchayat who actively use their Subhadra debit card get an extra ₹500 each year.
An Odisha government scheme that transfers ₹10,000 a year — ₹50,000 total over five years — directly into eligible women's bank accounts.
Women aged 21–60, permanently residing in Odisha, holding a ration card or income proof below ₹2.5 lakh, with a properly Aadhaar-linked bank account.
₹5,000 twice a year — around Raksha Bandhan and International Women's Day — for a total of ₹50,000 by 2029.
Visit the official portal, enter your Aadhaar or reference number, verify with OTP, and view your status.
Search by District, Block, and Gram Panchayat on the portal, using the exact spelling from your Aadhaar card.
Your application is approved, but the payment failed because your bank account isn't linked to the Aadhaar payment system. A branch visit usually fixes it.
Common reasons include being a taxpayer, owning a car, holding large irrigated landholdings, income above the limit, name mismatches, or duplicate applications.
